i was looking for article ab affine plane and read your great note (Some basic concepts in finite geometries). and i wonder how to prove Lemma 3.8 in your note. Can you give me some hints or information of a book for what i ask ab?

Hi, that’s a good question. I tried figuring out the proof of that lemma after your comment but I couldn’t. It’s been a long time since I wrote up those notes, so I don’t even remember all the details. I’ll let you know if I find something. One of the standard references for this kind of stuff is Dembowski: http://www.springer.com/us/book/9783540617860, but I am not sure if you will find that specific lemma there.
